We’re excited to announce that we’re rebranding! The process was started in January 2019 and will take place throughout 2019. As part of our rebranding strategy, our company name will change from Ruby & Flint to Carmin & Flint. We decided to keep the last part of the name to ease the transition.
This name change is part of our strategy to emphasize our values. Our goal is to create collections appealing to free spirited individuals, without any gender distinctions. The new name also highlights the unique hand crafted creative process that you've come to enjoy from our jewelry pieces.
We've listened to your comments, both online and in person. We had discussions with our design agency. We felt the rebranding will help us to serve you better.
What's in the name?
So what does Carmin & Flint means? "Carmin" refers to the color of jeweler' rouge, the red paste used to polish jewelry. This is a nod to the hand crafted uniqueness of our pieces. The red color also symbolizes the passion of creating unique jewelry.
"Flint" refers to the stone that is used to spark a fire. Fire is essential to create silver jewelry. It also symbolizes the spark of innovation that is necessary to create something new.
Finally, it was also important for us that the name be easy to understand for both our french and english speaking customers.
What's going to happen?
You’ll start to see changes to our identity, website, social media profiles, and our new visual brand signature. At the same time, you'll find the same quality original products that you've come to expect from us.
As we undergo this process, we’d like to take some time and thank our loyal customers. Without you, this would not be possible and we look forward to a great journey with all of you.
